Volunteering

We are currently looking for volunteers that would be interested in participating in our:

July 5th Beach Clean Up

The clean up typically last from 8:00am to 12:00pm on the morning of July 5th. We encourage you to come out to one of the clean up sitesor to adopt a beach location are listed below. We will provide bags and gloves to collect trash and debris off of our beaches. We also encourage you to participate in our cigarette butt challenge where winners from each location will recieve a prize either provided by Keepers or other supporting business.

The clean up site locations include:

Micklers Beachfront Park

Vilano Beach Ramp

A street beach access

Butler Beachfront Park East

Crescent Beachfront Park

Fort Matanzas Beach Ramp

Below are the four primary ways you can get involved with Keepers of the Coast. These are our primary programs which we need community support for, either monetary or volunteer.

Sea Turtle Awareness Month: April

Series of events to highlight sea turtle conservation issues such as: Soccer tournament, wine tasting, and annual Sea Turtle Festival in St. Johns County

Coastal Conservation Education

Supporting workshops or events that educate the public on coastal issues and/or species of special concern, threatened, or endangered status.

Field Trips

Support K-12 field trips that involve coastal lesson plans. Bus funding is the focus of this effort.

Beach Cleanups

Held four times a year. All Keepers of the Coast members and the public are welcome to participate. Cleanups occur in the months of January, April, July and September.
