2011 Florida Girls of Herpetology Conservation Calendar

The 2011 Florida Girls of Herpetology Conservation Calendar, Featuring one of our very own Tara Dodson.

The 2011 Florida Girls of Herpetology Conservation Calendar, contributed funds towards a very important conservation project; helping to save the Coqui frogs of Puerto Rico. All of the calendar proceeds were used to fund the Coqui Conservation Initiative (CCI). The initiative was fortunate to have on board a fantastic group of volunteers who made this unique fund-raising project possible. The Reptile Discovery Center, the St Augustine Alligator Farm, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens graciously hosted the photo-shoots. The project would not have been possible without the donated time of its photographers; their artistic capabilities were only exceeded by the patience and kindness. Their deep thanks goes to the women of herpetology in Florida. They believe they are an amazing group whose selfless work with reptiles and amphibians is inspiring. And finally, they are grateful for the confidence and support to all thier sponsors and to Joe Montisane, CEO, Central Florida Zoo for his steadfast belief in the calendar project.
